4-DAY TOUR FROM FES TO MERZOUGA DESERT AND MARRAKECH
DAY 1: FES - MIDELT - TODGHA GORGES
Our tour starts torwards Todra Gorges , passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. We will have our lunch in a small Berber village, Zaida and continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Midelt to arrive the small town of Er-Rich. Here, we turn right to pass through the famous town of Imilchil before arriving to Todgha Gorges in evening.
DAY 2: TODGHA GORGES - MERZOUGA
Today we will travel from Todgha Gorges to Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way. We’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan Oasis of Tafilalt and then continue to Merzouga where we will spend the night.
DAY 3: ERG CHEBBI TOUR AND CAMEL TREK TOUR
Today in the morning, we start our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit a berber house and listen to some Gnawa music; originally from Ghana, and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees. For lunch we will head back to Merzouga. After relaxing for a time we will go for the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, which is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we arrive to the camp, we climb the high dunes to see the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents.
DAY 4: MERZOUGA - FES
After an early sunrise, we will ride the camels back to Merzouga and then we’ll drive to Fes.
